Communication barriers in communication social worker with the client and and strategies to overcome them

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá komunikačními bariérami v práci sociálního pracovníka s klientem a strategiemi jejich překonávání. Cílem této práce je podat ucelený obraz o komunikaci, komunikačních bariérách a o dovednostech, které jsou využívány k jejich překonávání. V teoretické části se zaměříme na vymezení pojmu komunikace, její různé definice, budeme blíže charakterizovat komunikaci, komunikační proces, faktory, jež komunikaci ovlivňují, zmíníme též komunikační teorie. Charakterizujeme sociální práci, zaměříme se na sociálního pracovníka. V rámci teoretické části budou dále popsány komunikační bariéry, dovednosti, které jsou využívány pro překonávání bariér a předpoklady, které napomáhají úspěšné komunikaci. Ve výzkumné části se pokusíme pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu zkoumat a zjistit, jaké komunikační dovednosti využívají sociální pracovníci při překonávání komunikačních bariér a jaké komunikační bariéry při své práci s klienty vnímají.

Abstract:

The purpose of this diploma thesis is communication barriers in the social work of social worker with clients and the strategies which help to overcome these barriers. The aim of this diploma thesis is to provide a comprehensive picture about communication, communication barriers and skills wchich are used to overcome these barriers. We focus on the definition of communication, different types of communication, we futher characterize the communication, the communication process, the communication theory and the factors which affect communication, in the theoretical part of the diploma thesis. We characterize the social work, we focus on the social worker. In the theoretical part will be described communication barriers, skills that are used to overcome barriers and the assumptions which help to successful communication. We try to explore and find out what communication skills used social workers to overcome communication barriers by the qualitative research and what communication barriers they perceive in their work with the clients, in the research part of the diploma thesis.
