Development of new diagnostic solutions for genotyping the tumour marker BCR-ABL1.

Abstract:

Chronická myeloidná leukémia je ochorenie hematopoetického tkaniva, ktoré je možné liečiť pomocou tyrozínkinázových inhibítorov, ktoré časom môžu navodiť rezistenciu voči liečbe vznikom sekundárnych mutácií. Ich prítomnosť v genóme môže byť využitá na diagnostiku leukémie. Táto práca sa bude venovať detekcii týchto bodových mutácií pomocou nami vyvinutej metódy založenej na NGS sekvenácii.

Abstract:

Chronic myeloid leukemia is a disease of hematopoetic tissue that can be threated with tyrosine kinase inhibitors, which can over timer induce resistance to treatment by developing secondary mutations. Their presence in the genome can be used for leukemia diagnosis. This work will be devoted to the detection of these point mutations using the method we developed based on NGS sequencing.
