Design of a signalling device for people with hearing impairment.

Abstract:

Cílem práce je navrhnout signalizační zařízení, které osobu se sluchovým postižením upozorní na poplachový stav požární signalizace. Zařízení bude schopné rozpoznat akustický signál požární sirény a upozornit osobu na nebezpečnou událost jiným způsobem než vjemem vnímaný sluchovým orgánem. Teoretická část slouží jako nezbytný teoretický základ pro následnou schopnost realizace daného zařízení. Praktická část se věnuje samotnému návrhu. Navrhované zařízení by mohlo sloužit jako koncept pro implementaci do mobilních zařízení, které sluchově postižené osoby běžně využívají nebo by mohli teoreticky využívat.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to design a signaling device that will alert a person with hearing impairment to a fire alarm condition. The device will be able to recognize the acoustic signal of the fire alarm and alert the person to a dangerous event in a way other than the perception perceived by the auditory organ. The theoretical part serves as a necessary theoretical basis for the subsequent ability to implement the device. The practical part deals with the design itself. The proposed device could serve as a concept for implementation in mobile devices that hearing-impaired people commonly use or could theoretically use.
