Formation of Demonyms in Mexican Spanish
Abstract:
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of formation of demonyms in Mexico. The theoretical part is focused on adjectives and toponyms that form demonyms. The practical part investigates the variety and productivity of suffixes and derivation from different word roots. Furthermore, the thesis is dedicated to a variety of demonyms and cities that share the same names.
Abstract:
Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá tvorbou obyvateľských mien v Mexiku. V teoretickej časti sa kladie dôraz na prídavné mená a toponymá, z ktorých sa obyvateľské mená tvoria. V praktickej časti sa skúma rôznorodosť a produktívnosť jednotlivých sufixov a odvodzovanie mien z rôznych koreňov slov. Ďalej sa práca zameriava na varianty obyvateľských mien, ako aj na jednotlivé mestá, ktoré sa zhodujú v názvoch …more
