Růst a mortalita vícekmenných dřevin v selektivně těženém tropickém deštném lese
Growth and mortality of multi-stemmed woody plants in selectively logged tropical rainforest
Abstract:

Multi-stemmed trees (MST) are common but still overlooked feature of tropical rain forest influencing tree persistence after disturbance. Multi-stemming may be an important trait for growth and mortality in widely and variably disturbed tropical rain forest, however, this has not been tested yet. We used annually monitored (2013–2020) ca. 14,000 tree stems in Malaysian Borneo to model post-logging …moreAbstract:
disadvantaged in the future. The family Dipterocarpaceae has an especially low density of multi-stemmed individuals, which increases concern about the regeneration of selectively logged forests, where recruitment and vegetative regeneration of Dipterocarps is hindered.
