History of the baron Fr. Koller's antiquity collection
Abstract:
Tématem práce je postava sběratele barona Františka Kollera a jeho sbírka antického umění nashromážděná v Neapoli mezi léty 1815 - 1826. Cílem je osvětlit obraz dobového sběratelství antických památek, tolik spjatých s probíhajícími archeologickými vykopávkami a demonstrovat ne vždy šťastný osud nashromážděné sbírky.
Abstract:
The topic of this thesis is focused on the personality of collector baron Fr. Koller and his collection of ancient artifacts gathered during his diplomatic journey to Naples in 1815 - 1826. The main target is to clarify the approach to collecting of antiquities in above mentioned era, which is strongly connected to contemporary archeological excavations, and to illustrate the not always fortunate destiny …more
