Job Satisfaction and Skill Mismatch among Native and Foreign-born Employees in EU countries

Anotace:

The current analysis examines whether the hypothesis that over-skilled employees are more likely to be dissatisfied with their jobs and whether over-skilled foreigners is the group that is most likely to be affected by this phenomenon. The findings are varied across EU countries but some common themes related to job satisfaction emerge. Job quality and job security emerge as important factors for both groups. Over-skilling is the more dominant component for job satisfaction than under-skilling.
