Analysis of radial growth of Norway spruce Picea abies (L.) KARST.

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá radiálním růstem kmene smrku ztepilého Picea abies (L.). Zaměřili jsme se na smrky rostoucí v 7. a 8. lesním vegetačním stupni Lysé hory v Moravskoslezských Beskydech. Pro zjištění radiálních přírůstů jsme použili dendrochronologickou metodu. Objevili jsme rozdíl radiálních přírůstů jedinců z různých světových stran. Smrky rostoucí na severovýchodní straně Lysé hory vykazují větší radiální přírůsty než jedinci rostoucí na kterékoliv jiné světové straně. Při porovnání ostatních stran jsme rozdíl nezjistili (smrky na ostatních světových stranách přirůstají podobně). Dále jsme zjistili vzestup hodnot radiálního růstu s přibývajícím stářím adultní růstové fáze smrku. Neprokázali jsme korelační závislost radiálního růstu kmene na roční sumě srážek, sumě srážek ve vegetačním období, průměrné teplotě za rok ani na průměrné teplotě ve vegetačním období. U všech analyzovaných stromů jsme zhodnotili zdravotní stav.

Abstract:

This work deals with the radial stem growth of the Norway spruce Picea abies (L.). We focused on the spruce trees growing in the 7th and 8th forest vegetation degree on Lysá hora in the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mountains. For the detection of radial increments we used the dendrochronological method. We found a difference of radial increments of individuals from different cardinal points. The spruces growing on the northeastern side of Lysá hora exhibit a greater radial increment than the individuals growing in any other cardinal direction. When we compared the other cardinal directions, we found no differences (The spruces in the other directions have the same increments.). Furthermore, we found out a rise in the radial growth values in accordance with the increasing age of the adult growth phase of spruce. We did not prove the correlation dependence of the radial stem growth on the annual precipitation sum, the precipitation sum during a growing season, the average temperature per year nor on the average temperature during the growing season. We evaluated the health condition of all the analyzed trees.
