Abstract:

The current era is a digital era, the role of IT and computer science in all areas is like oxygen which is an essential and necessary element of the life. In the same way computer science is as important and essential as oxygen in our day to day lives. In modern and fast paced life, each area thrives on digital platform to grow at its best. It has helped us from ordering food to booking transport tickets just in one click of a button. It has provided a magnificent digital platform for every organization on which they can advertise their business, products, qualities, benefits to the population without any limitation. It has created a borderless platform which can be easily accessible to anyone siting in any parts of the world. We have recently witnessed a global pandemic which has pushed most of the world population to go digital, from having online delivery market place to online education system. It has given a narrative to go digital in most of the area of the businesses which was not very popular to pre-pandemic era. E-commerce website helps all business in every possible way to increase their visibility and economy by providing an important tools to consumer in order to plan and decide what to buy and it also empowers by giving an opportunity to customer to check if the products and services are available without being physically present at the shop. Programming languages gives a window of opportunity to any individual who can build their website from scratch and setup an ecommerce business without having to have much knowledge and experience in this field. Computer science and IT are the vast area of interest in a digital age, which embraces everyone who have their personal interest and it helps to grow at their highest extent. In the modern digital era it is undeniable that we cannot imagine our life without internet and its various attributes. Current pandemic has pushed a “Go Digital Economy” narrative which will change our digital footprint in very significant way in near future. I believe with help of this thesis any individual can get an idea on how to proceed with website preparation in best possible way without having to spent tremendous amount of time on internet. In this thesis work, I have implemented a very simple and easy to understand approach by mentioning simple and necessary guidelines steps on how any individual or small organization can start building an e-commerce website without having to spend tremendous amount of money and resources. It also consists a guidelines for using different tools which can be useful in maintenance and optimization of the website.
