Monitoring diving reflex in relation to freediving

Abstract:

V této diplomové práci jsme se zabývali sledováním diving reflexu ve vztahu k nádechovému potápění. Výzkumné části se zúčastnilo 20 dospělých mužů ve věku od 25 do 30 let. Cílem diplomové práce bylo přispět k poznání v oblasti vybraných fyziologických parametrů, souvisejících s diving reflexem a nádechovým potápěním. Pro vypracování teoretické části byla použita metoda obsahové analýzy. Další metodou, kterou jsme použili v naší práci, je metoda testování. Pro účely projektu byli jednotlivci výzkumného souboru vystaveni třem testům. TEST 1 Zadržení dechu bez ponoření obličeje. TEST 2 Ponoření obličeje bez zádrže dechu. TEST 3 Ponoření obličeje se zádrží dechu. Data z jednotlivých testů byla získávána metodou měření vybraných fyziologických parametrů (srdeční frekvence, krevní tlak a saturace kyslíkem), následně vyhodnocena a zpracována. Zjistili jsme, že vůči klidovému režimu se při ponoření obličeje při zádrži dechu signifikantně mění vybrané fyziologické hodnoty. Srdeční frekvence a saturace kyslíkem klesá a krevní tlak se zvyšuje.

Abstract:

In our Master´s thesis We deal with the monitoring of the diving reflex related to the freediving. Twenty adult men in age of 25-30 years participated in the study. The aim of this thesis is to make a contribution of one´s knowledge of the selected physiological parameters related to the diving reflex and the breath-hold diving. Twenty adult men in the age range of 25 - 30 years participated in the study. The method of the content analysis was used in the theoretical part and the test method was used in the empirical part. Each participant took three tests: TEST 1 Breath holding while not submerging the face TEST 2 Submerging the face while not breath-holding TEST 3 Submerging the face while breath-holding. The method of measuring physiological parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure and oxygen saturation were used to get the data. The gained data were evaluated and processed. Physiological figures of the submerging and breath-holding differ significantly from the rest regime of the participants. The heart rate and the oxygen saturation are increasing and the blood pressure is decreasing.
