Rating influence on standing and credibility of bank

Abstract:

Tématem této diplomové práce je rating bank, téma velmi aktuální a frekventované. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na vymezení ratingu, jeho historii, význam a klasifikaci. Věnuje se ratingovým agenturám, důvodu jejich vzniku a existence. Kapitola je ukončena úvahou nad dalším vývojem ratingu a možnostmi regulace ratingových agentur. Praktická část analyzuje metodiku hodnocení bonity bank ratingové agentury Moody´s. Zahrnuje praktickou aplikaci jednotlivých faktorů v podmínkách českého bankovního trhu se zaměřením na rozbor ratingu tří největších bank působících na území ČR. Práce si klade za cíl osvětlit význam a důležitost ratingu, poodhalit proces jeho tvorby a poskytnout ucelený pohled na tuto poměrně složitou problematiku.

Abstract:

The topic of this diploma thesis is a bank rating, which is currently one of the most discussed and frequent issues. The theoretical part deals with fundamental terminology such as rating, its history, importance and classification. It also focuses on rating agencies, reason of their origination and existence. The chapter outlines further development of rating and possible regulation of rating agencies. The practical part is aimed at analysis of the bank creditworthiness based on methodology of Moody´s rating agency. The practical part also comprises application of the key factors in the Czech banking market and it specifically analysis the three largest Czech banks. The main goal of the thesis is to provide better understanding of the meaning and importance of rating, to disclose the process of its creation and coherent view of this relatively complicated issue.
