Horses vital manifestation assessment

Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Vyhodnocení životních projevů koní je výsledkem ročního pozorování smíšeného stáda klisen a valachů, stáda klisen a stáda valachů, kdy počet koní v jednotlivých stádech byl: smíšené stádo – 22 koní, stádo klisen – 4 koně, stádo valachů – 5 koní. celková doba pozorování byla 96 hodin, 24 hodin v průběhu každého ročního období. Cílem práce je charakterizovat denní aktivity koní a vyhodnotit rozdíly v chování mezi jednotlivými stády v průběhu roku. Pozorovanými denními aktivitami koní byl příjem potravy, pití, sociální chování, komfortní chování, lokomoce, odpočinek a stání a pozorování okolí. Data nasbíraná v průběhu pozorování byla zpracována pomocí etogramů do přehledných grafů. Pozorování probíhalo v areálu Ranche u cesty, v blízkosti obce Bílovice nad Svitavou.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis entitled Horses vital manifestation assessment is a result of annual observation of a mixed herd of mares and geldings, herd of mares and herd of geldings, where the number of horses in each herd was: mixed herd – 22 horses, herd of mares – 4 horses, herd of geldings – 5 horses. The total observation time was 96 hours, 24 hours during each season. The aim of the thesis is to characterize the daily activities of horses and to evaluate the differences in behavior between individual herds during the year. The observed daily activities of the horses were food intake, drinking, social behavior, comfortable behavior, movement, rest, standing and observation of the surroundings. The data collected during the observations were processed using etograms into clear graphs. The observation took place in the Ranch u cesty, near the village of Bílovice nad Svitavou.
