A child with a celiac disease in the children's team

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zjistit znalosti pedagogů na základních školách v problematice celiakie a diabetu u dětí. Metodika: K získání dat byl použit nestandardizovaný dotazník obsahující 25 otázek. Průzkumné šetření probíhalo od prosince 2014 do ledna 2015. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo 209 pedagogů vyučujících na základních školách v Ostravě ? Porubě. Výsledky: V průzkumu bylo zjištěno, že nejvíce znalostí v problematice celiakie a diabetu u dětí měli pedagogové ve věku od 30 do 49 let. Nejméně znalostí měli muži vyučující na základních školách. Pedagogové, kteří během své pedagogické praxe dítě s celiakií či diabetem vyučovali, měli více znalostí než ti, kteří jej doposud nevyučovali. Z dotazníkového šetření také vyplývá, že znalosti pedagogů vyučujících na 1. a 2. stupni jsou téměř srovnatelné, o něco vyšší znalosti však měli pedagogové vyučující na 2. stupni. Více než polovina pedagogů znala projevy hypoglykémie a věděla, kam se aplikuje inzulín. Téměř tři čtvrtiny pedagogů věděly, jak poskytnout první pomoc při hypoglykémii. Úspěšnost pedagogů v poznávání potravin bez lepku a potravin obsahujících lepek se lišila v závislosti na daných potravinách. Závěr: Z průzkumného šetření vyplývá, že všichni pedagogové nemají dostatečné znalosti cílové problematiky. Proto je potřeba zlepšit informovanost pedagogů v problematice celiakie a diabetu u dětí.

Abstract:

The Aim: The aim of this study was to elicit the knowledge of primary school teachers in the issue of celiac disease and child diabetes. Methodology: For the data acquisition a non-standard questionnaire containing 25 questions was used. The survey was held from December 2014 to January 2015. The research sample consisted of 209 teachers teaching in primary schools in Ostrava ? Poruba. Results: The survey found that the most knowledge in the area of celiac disease and child diabetes have teachers aged from 30 to 49 years old. The least knowledge had male-teachers in primary schools. Educators who taught a child with celiac disease or diabetes during their teaching practice had more knowledge than those who had not yet taught under such circumstances. The survey also shows that knowledge of teachers teaching at the first and the second stage of elementary school are almost comparable, slightly higher knowledge, however, demonstrated second stage teachers. More than a half of the teachers knew the symptoms of hypoglycemia and where insulin is administered. Almost three quarters of the teachers knew how to provide first aid in case of hypoglycemia. The success of teachers in learning about gluten-free food and food containing gluten varied depending on the particular comestible. Conclusion: The exploratory survey shows that not all teachers have sufficient knowledge of the target issues. Hence it is neccessary to improve the awareness of teachers in the issue of celiac disease and child diabetes.
