Arne Novák on Slovak Literature. An Annotated Bibliography

Abstract:

The goal of this bachelor’s thesis is to create an annotated list of articles where Arne Novák talks about Slovak literature, its authors and their work, and then his opinions are compared with the information he presents in Přehledné dějiny literatury české and his other synthetic work. The conclusion of the thesis concerns itself with the comparison of Novák's opinions and those of slovakistic authors of the time, and also with summarizing the findings.

Abstract:

Táto bakalárska práca si kladie za cieľ vytvoriť komentovaný súpis článkov, v ktorých sa Arne Novák zaoberá slovenskou literatúrou alebo jej konkrétnymi autormi či dielami, a tieto názory následne porovnať s informáciami, ktoré Novák uvádzal vo svojich Přehledných dějinách literatury české, prípadne v jeho ďalších syntetických prácach. V závere sa pokúša porovnať Novákove názory s názormi ďalších autorov slovakistických prác vtedajšej doby a zhrnúť získané poznatky.
