Anthropological analysis of the prehistoric settlement unit at locality Přerov - Vinary

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývala antropologickou analýzou kosterního materiálu ze sídlištní lokality Přerov IX. – Vinary a jejím zasazení do kulturního kontextu. Na lokalitě bylo zachyceno osídlení pozdní doby bronzové a starší doby halštatské. Kosterní materiál se nacházel v kumulaci H1 blízko sídlištního objektu 0501 a jedinci nebyli uloženi v anatomické poloze. V praktické části bakalářské práce bylo určeno množství jedinců v souboru a jejich pohlaví, stáří a výška. Kosti byly podrobně popsány a zaznamenány epigenetické a patologické znaky na kostře. V souboru se nacházeli dva jedinci, oba dospělí muži, vysocí 160 – 174,5 cm a 155 – 165,5 cm. Na skeletech obou jedinců se nacházel pouze minimální počet epigenetických znaků a patologických změn. Teoretická část práce se zabývala standardním pohřebním ritem příslušného období, který je převážně žárový, nalezením analogií v pohřbech na sídlištích příslušného kulturního zařazení v prostředí Moravy a představením jejich možných interpretací. Zcela analogický případ k přerovskému souboru nebyl zaznamenán, je zde ovšem několik lokalit s podobným způsobem uložení kostí, a to Křenovice, Velké Hoštice, Otrokovice, Olomouc – Slavonín, Zlín – Malenovice a Brno – Ivanovice.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis was focused on anthropological analysis of the prehistoric settlement unit at the Přerov IX. – Vinary locality and summerized its cultural context. The settlement is dated into the Late Bronze age and Early Iron age. The human bones were accumulated near the settlement pit 0501 and the skeletons were not in the anatomical position. Practical part of the thesis comprises of the minimal number of individuals estimation in the bone accumulation and of the analyse of their estimated sex, age at death and height. Bones were carefully examinated and all epigenetic traits and pathological changes on the bones were documented. The analysed skeletons were both identified as adult males, 160 – 174.5 cm and 155 – 165.5 cm tall. There were only a minimum amount of epigenetic traits, nor the pathological changes and evidence of anthropophagy observed. Theoretical part of this thesis provides a summary of common burial habits and rituals of the related period, which is mostly cremation. There is a list of analogous burials at settlement units of the same cultural context and the thesis also contains several explanations of this phenomenon. There was not documented any case of burial similar to our observations, nevertheless some resemblances could be found at several settlement units, located for example at Křenovice, Velké Hoštice, Otrokovice, Olomouc – Slavonín, Zlín – Malenovice and Brno – Ivanovice.
