The biodegradability of packaging for trade, food sector and catering industry made from bioplastics

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je ověření míry biodegradability různých obalů vyrobených z bioplastů, pomocí kompostovacího testu dle ČSN EN ISO14855-1 v aerobních podmínkách. Teoretická část diplomové práce zahrnuje definici a popis bioplastů, jejich výrobu, vyuţití a odstraňování a zásady posouzení jejich biodegradability normalizovaným kompostovacím testem. Experimentální část charakterizuje zkušební zařízení pro biodegradaci bioplastů a popisuje průběh experimentů pro jednotlivé testované výrobky. Ty byly získány od firmy, zabývající se prodejem bioobalů z bioplastů, u kterých deklaruje jejich stoprocentní biodegradaci. Výsledkem práce jsou biodegradační křivky pro testované výrobky za normalizovaných podmínek.

Abstract:

The subject of this diploma thesis is to verify the extent of biodegradation of various bio-packaging materials made of bioplastics, using composting test according to ČSN EN ISO14855-1 under aerobic conditions. The theoretical part includes a description of bioplastics, their production, use and disposal and principles of assessment of their biodegradability by the standard composting test. The experimental part describes test equipment for the biodegradation of bioplastics and describes the course of the experiments for each tested products. These products were chosen from the company which is selling bio-packaging made of bioplastics, which guarantees their hundred percent biodegradation. Results of this thesis are biodegradation curves of testing products in standardized conditions.
