Bookbinding at the Czech prints from the 17th and 18th centuries
Abstract:
Cílem práce je přinést odborné, ale i laické veřejnosti přehled různých typů knižních vazeb běžně užívaných v 17. a 18. století. Hlavní částí práce je typologie knižních vazeb, která vychází z průzkumu konkrétních dobových vazeb. Průzkum probíhal v několika institucích na různých místech České republiky. Pro pochopení dané problematiky je součástí práce množství nákresů a fotografií.
Abstract:
The aim of this work is to present an overview of the common types of the bookbinding from the 17th and 18th centuries. The main part of this work is bookbinding typology, which is based on research at original bindings. Research was conducted in several institutions at different places of the Czech Republic. There are a lot of drawings and photographs for description of typology in this work.
