Tématem práce je předsednictví České republiky v Radě Evropské unie v období od 1.1. do 30.6. 2009. Teoretická část je věnována vzniku Evropské unie, poslání a jednotlivých politik. The subject of this thesis is the Czech Republic´s EU Council Presidency in the period of 1.1. 2009 - 30.6. 2009. The theoretical part is focused on the origins of the EU, its function and of individual policies.
