Analysis of the Event Show-off/Zeig dich 2014

Abstract:

In my bachelor´s thesis I mainly deal with the event organisation. In order to fill my thesis with facts I organized with my team the university competition in English and German presentations Show-off/Zeig Dich which took place at Tomas Bata University in 2014. I aim my attention mainly at the leading of an organisational team for this type of event and the way how to organize similar events. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The first half of the theoretical part includes following topics: choosing a team, characteristics and skills of event manager, leading a team and teamwork, the second half focuses on event organisation and realisa-tion. In the practical part I describe, how Show-off/Zeig Dich 2014 was organized and I compare the organisation with the processes recommended by experts. The contribution of my work will consist in description of preparation of Show-off/Zeig Dich 2014 and in recommendations for easier preparation of next year of the competition. The theoretical part can be used as a guide for preparing of similar events organized by students.

Abstract:

In meiner Bachelorarbeit beschäftige ich mich mit der Veranstaltungsorganisation. Im Jahr 2014 organisierte ich mit meinem Team den studentischen Wettbewerb in englisch- und deutschsprachigen Präsentationen Show-off/Zeig Dich, der an der Thomas-Bata-Universität in Zlín stattgefunden hat. Meine Aufmerksamkeit lenke ich hauptsächlich auf die Führung des Organisationsteams für diesen Veranstaltungstyp und auf die Art und Weise der Veranstaltungsvorbereitung und -realisation. Die erste Hälfte des theoretischen Teiles umfasst folgende Themen: Auswahl des Teams, Persönlichkeitsprofil und Fähigkeiten des Leiters, Teamführung und Teamarbeit, die zweite Hälfte widme ich der Veranstaltungsvorbereitung und -realisation. In dem praktischen Teil beschreibe ich die Organisation des Wettbewerbs Show-off/Zeig Dich 2014 und ich vergleiche sie mit Organisationsprozessen der Fachleute. Diese Beschreibung und vom Vergleich ausgehende Verbesserungsvorschläge sollten die Organisation der Wettbewerbe in den folgenden Jahren wesentlich erleichtern. Der theoretische Teil dieser Arbeit kann auch als Handbuch für die Organisation ähnlicher Studentenveranstaltungen dienen.
