Motivation for learning and school success of pupils tending to test anxiety

Abstract:

ABSTRAKT Diplomová práce se zabývala výkonovou motivací a školní úspěšností u žáků inklinujících k trémě a žáků-trémistů. V teoretické části jsou shrnuty poznatky o těchto fenoménech. Jsou zde uvedeny také související provedené zahraniční a české výzkumy, na které je navázáno v části empirické. Ve výzkumu byla použita škála KSAT (Kondáš) a dotazník Školní výkonová motivace žáků (Hrabal, Pavelková). Pro zpracování výsledků byla získána data od 190 žáků 2. stupně základních škol ve Středočeském kraji. Výsledky výzkumu ukázaly, že existuje vztah mezi výkonovou motivací na škále potřeby úspěšného výkonu a školní úspěšností. Dále jsme zjistili, že školní výkonová motivace žáků souvisí s jejich věkem. Chlapci a dívky se v míře trémy statisticky významně neliší. Nebyly nalezeny ani signifikantní rozdíly mezi chlapci a dívkami ve výkonové motivaci. Žáci s různou úrovní trémy se rovněž neliší v úrovni výkonové motivace.

Abstract:

ABSTRACT The diploma thesis deals with performance motivation and school success among pupils tending to suffer from test anxiety and pupils suffering from test anxiety. The theoretical part summarizes the knowledge about these phenomenons. There are also related foreign and Czech researches, which are connected to the empirical part. . The KSAT scale (Kondáš) and the questionnaire School performance motivation of pupils (Hrabal, Pavelková) were used in the research. Data from 190 pupils of the 2nd grade of elementary schools in the Central Bohemian Region were processed for the results. Research results have shown that there is a relationship between performance motivation on the scale of achievement and school success. We also found that school performance motivation of pupils is related to their age. Boys and girls are not significantly different in the degree of test anxiety. No significant differences between boys and girls in performance motivation were found. Pupils with varying levels of test anxiety also do not differ in the level of performance motivation.
