Abstract:
The Master thesis study the Saint Casimir. Examined are the Prince’s preparation for the rule, the reasons for His canonization as well as the rise of the cult. The descrip-tion of the Prince’s sanctity in the minds of current people and hagiographies is undergone. Diplomová práca sa zaoberá svätým Kazimírom. Skúmaná je princova príprava na vládu, dôvody na jeho kanonizáciu ako aj vznik kultu. Sledovaný je vývoj princovej svätosti v mysliach súčasníkov a životopisoch. Cieľom práce je aj skúmať vplyv výchovy na princov charakter. Sú použité prístupy historickej antropológie a mentalít.
