Impact of Corporate Social responsibility on businesses.

Abstract:

The aim of this paper is to critically discuss Corporate Social Responsibility and its impact on business performance. It will also identify some major challenges facing firm’s praticing CSR and the ways to solve them. It will analyze how praticing effective CSR can help increase a firms bottom line , finally, it will look at some of the world’s finest firms and the type of CSR practice they are undertaking as well as case study of CSR practice from Africa, more specifically Ghana. The last but not the least, this paper will make some strong recommendations with regards to how CSR should be pursue by governments, companies and why some firms must pay a compulsory levy from their consolidated profit in to a CSR fund in communities where they operate.
