Vliv mezinárodního obchodu na strukturu průmyslu v Ghaně.

Abstract:

Cílem práce bylo empiricky zjistit vliv mezinárodního obchodu na strukturu průmyslu v Ghaně. Byl proveden kvantitativní výzkum na základě údajů z let 1990 až 2018. Pro samotný odhad byl užit ADL model, který umožňuje zjištění dlouhodobého i krátkodobého vlivu mezinárodního obchodu na strukturu průmyslu. Zkoumány byly proměnné jako otevřenost obchodu (jako měřítko mezinárodního obchodu), inflace, směnný kurz a složky HDP jako měřítko struktury průmyslu. Pro dosažení porovnatelných výsledků byly údaje pro analýzy získány z ukazatelů Světového bankovnictví Světové banky (WDI). Tato studie odhalila, že z dlouhodobého hlediska měla otevřenost obchodu nepříznivý a statisticky významný vliv na růst HDP. Inflace měla také pozitivní a nevýznamný vztah k růstu HDP. Směnný kurz opět vykazoval pozitivní vliv na růst HDP. Studie dále zjistila, že v krátkodobém horizontu je otevřenost obchodu a inflace ve shodě dlouhodobými výsledky, na rozdíl od směnného kurzu.

Abstract:

The study sought to determine the empirical influence of international trade on industry structure in Ghana where data from the year 1990 to 2018 were used to achieve the results. This study therefore used the Autoregressive Distributed Lagged Model also referred to as bounds testing method to cointegration was used to estimate both the long-run and the short-run influence of international trade on industry structure. This study also made use of quantitative research design to evaluate the results. The variables included in the estimation include Trade Openness as a measure of international trade, Inflation, Exchange Rate, and GDP as a measure of industry structure. To achieve better results, data for analyses were obtained from the World Bank’s World Development Indicators (WDI). This study revealed that in the long-run, trade openness exerted an adverse and statistical influence on growth (GDP). Inflation also had a positive and insignificant relationship with growth (GDP). Again, the exchange rate exhibited a positive influence on growth (GDP). The study further found that in the short-run, except for the exchange rate, trade openness and inflation concur with the long run results.
