Primárním cílem této diplomové práce je osvětlit vznik britských mládežnických kultur, které se začaly objevovat v šedesátých a sedmdesátých letech dvacátého století – jmenovitě se jedná o punkovou subkulturu, hippie kontrakulturu a anarchismus. První část diplomové práce se věnuje teorii subkultur a jejich funkcím. Druhá část práce poté analyzuje dramatizaci těchto subkultur v britském sitcomu Mladí v partě (The Young Ones), který představil žánr alternativní komedie divákům BBC.

Abstract:

The primary objective of this diploma thesis is to provide insight into the British youth cultures which emerged during the period of the 1960s and 1970s – namely the punk subculture, the hippie counter-culture, and anarchism. The first part of the thesis deals with the theory of subcultures and their functions. The second part of the thesis analyses the dramatization of these subcultures in the British sitcom The Young Ones, which brought the alternative comedy to the audience of the BBC.
