Travelogues of Ladislav Zibura

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Cestopisy Ladislava Zibury se zabývá především představením osobnosti Zibury, jeho marketingu a analýzou dvou vybraných knih: Už nikdy pěšky po Arménii a Gruzii a Prázdniny v Evropě. Věnuje se žebříčkům prodeje knih a také oceněním, které Ziburovy knihy získaly. Neopomene kritiky a čtenářské ohlasy. První část mé práce představuje historický vývoj žánru cestopis, a to od jeho počátků až do současnosti. Dále se zabývá vývojem žánru na českém území a českými autory cestopisů. Soustředí se také na to, jak se cestuje ve 21. století a jak se cestopisná literatura díky moderním technologiím přesouvá na internet.

Abstract:

The main goal of this bachelor thesis: "Cestopisy Ladislava Zibury" is to introduce the personality of Mr Ladislav Zibura, his marketing and analysis of his two particular books: Už nikdy pěšky po Arménii a Gruzii and Prázdniny v Evropě. Thesis focuses on the book sales ranking as well as the awards that Zibura's book have won. It also looks into the reviews and responses of the readers. The first part of my thesis introduces the historic evolution of the travelogue as a genre from te very beginning up to the present. The thesis also deals with the development of the genre in the Czech region by Czech travelogue authors. It focuses on the travelling in the 21. century as well as the changes that the travel literature undergo by moving to the internet.
