Abstract:

This thesis deals with the issues of tourism and changing economy in the European countries. Special attention paid to the year 2015 when the EU undergone big economic crisis, economic sanctions, and terrorist attacks. The aim of thesis is to study and examine the strategy European Union countries used in 2015. The strategies used were to prevent economic crisis and an increased amount of tourists. The focus was primarily aimed to move forward for a continuous sustainable economic growth for them in the future. I would like to start my work with explanation of the significance and outline of possible problems that I have to deal with in regards to the economic growth of the European countries and its importance, local businesses, tourism, destination image and branding of the countries, also underlining the importance of using benchmarking, SWOT method as a major tool of analysing internal and external environment of an organization or business.
