Ways how heavily handicapped people without a possibility of verbal communication express their attitudes in their social surroundings. Through facilitated communication.

Abstract:

Už před šedesáti léty napsal C.G.Jung: ? Hodnota a význam jedince rapidně klesají a jedinec stále více ztrácí vyhlídky na to, že mu bude dopřáno sluchu?? (Jung, 1994, s.195) Cílem této práce bylo dopřát sluchu a dodat významu těm, o kterých si to naše společnost ani nepřipustí, že by měli ?co sdělit?. Setkávala jsem se se situací, kdy i vysokoškolsky vzdělaní lidé v přítomnosti těžce handicapovaných dětí hovořili o ?nich? způsobem, že je tzv. nevnímají, ?protože jsou blbí..? čili retardovaní. O celistvosti jejich emočního chápání je nenapadlo ani přemýšlet, natož o něm být přesvědčeni. Já o něm přesvědčená jsem! Práce je členěna do dvou celků. V teoretické části cituji dostupné vědecké podklady ozřejmující základní principy, historický vývoj a především studie legitimity metody?usnadňované komunikace? ze zahraničních informačních zdrojů, z rešerší Státní vědecké knihovny a jediné knihy, která v ČR byla na toto téma přeložena. Dále obsahuje některé myšlenky teoretiků v oblasti výzkumu vztahující se k danému tématu. V části praktické uvádím vlastní kasuistiku s prvotní zkušeností, včetně dalších ?rozhovorů? s verbálně nekomunikujícími - z různých sociálních prostředí. Závěrem mé shrnutí a hodnocení klinickým psychologem.

Abstract:

Sixty years ago C.G. Jung wrote: ?The value and the meaning of the individual are rapidly decreasing and the individual is loosing chances to be heard....? (Jung, 1994, s.195) The intent of this work was to let hear and to give meaning to those about which is our society not able to acknowledge that they have something to say. I encountered a situation when even persons with degree- being in presence of heavily handicapped children - spoke about ?them? in a manner that they - so called - don't perceive ?because they are stupid? or retarded. They didn't think or was even convinced about those children? s integrity of emotional comprehension. I am convinced about it! This work is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part I quote available scientific sources clarifying basic principles, historical development and legitimacy studies from foreign sources about ?facilitated communication . They are utilized from literature retrieval of State Scientific Library, from worldwide publications ? and the only book about this topic that was in Czech Republic translated. In the following I quote some of the thoughts of theoretics in a research fields related to the topic. In the practical part I present my own case report of my first experience with facilitated communication together with other ?dialogues? with verbally disabled - from different social environments. In the end of my work I present my conclusion and the evaluation of the clinical psychologist.
