Comparison of relational and object-oriented database models
Abstract:
Tato práce porovnává relační databázový model s modelem objektově-orientovaným. Postupně jsou rozebrány oba modely do detailů a stanovena kritéria porovnávání. Srovnání je provedeno na základě způsobu uložení dat, datových typů, zařazení operací, způsobu provázání dat, dědičnosti, zapouzdření, polymorfismu a posledním kritériem je dotazovací a definiční jazyk. This thesis compares relational database model with object-oriented model. In this work, there are analyzed both of the models and determined criteria of comparison. Criteria of comparison are based on form of data storage, data types, inclusion of operations, relationships, inheritance, encapsulation, polymorphism, and the last criterion is the query and definition language.
