This bachelor thesis focuses on the elements typical for a fairy tale and the purpose of their presence in Eudora Welty's short fiction, namely the novel The Robber Bridegroom (1942) and her short stories "A Worn Path" from the collection A Curtain of Green (1941), "The Wide Net" from the collection The Wide Net (1943), and "Sir Rabbit" from the collection Golden Apples (1949).
