Prototypes in geometry

Abstract:

Tato práce pojednává o prototypech v oblasti planimetrie a stereometrie. Shrnuje výsledky z průzkumu konaného formou dotazníkového šetření na vybraných školách v roce 2016. Stručně seznamuje čtenáře s teorií prototypů z oblasti kognitivní psychologie. Dále poukazuje na některé problémy spojené s vytvářením a vyhodnocováním žákovských dotazníků. Hlavním cílem práce je však zjištění, zda mají studenti na středních a základních školách tendenci k prototypickému myšlení v této oblasti. Dále práce zkoumá zda způsob, jakým žáci načrtnou zadané útvary a tělesa, koresponduje s tím, s čím se setkávají v učebnicích, případně s výsledky jejich vyučujících. Předmětem zkoumání jsou také možné závislosti těchto výsledků, například na pravolevé orientaci, pohlaví, věku žáků nebo typu studované školy.

Abstract:

This work mentions the prototypes in the planimetry and stereometry area. It summarizes the results which have been reached by questionnaires given to the selected schools in 2016. Briefly introduces the readers with the Theory of prototypes of the cognitive psychology topic and continues with some issues associated with making and evaluating students questionnaires. In the fact the main purpose of the work is detection of students in secondary schools having a tendency to prototypical thought. Furthermore the work examines if the way used by students to sketch the specified units is similar to what they may have seen in the textbooks eventually to results of their teachers. The subjects of the investigation are also possible dependences of these results for example on leftright orientation, sex, age or type of studied school.
