Včela medonosná, známá především jako producent medu, se jako významný opylovač podílí jak na zemědělské produkci, tak na udržování biodiverzity. Včelstva jsou však postihována řadou virových onemocnění, jejichž význam zesílil s globálním rozšířením hematofágního roztoče Varroa destructor. Abstract:
European honey bee, best known as a producer of honey, is an important pollinator contributing to both agricultural production and biodiversity. Honey bee colonies are affected by number of viral diseases, which grew in importance with the global spread of the hematophagous mite Varroa destructor.
