Předmětem této diplomové práce je komplexní charakteristika finančních konglomerátů. Nejdříve se jedná o stručný popis finančního trhu jako prostředí, ve kterém finanční konglomeráty existují, následuje právní úprava finančních konglomerátů v ČR a v EU, specifika regulace a dohledu nad těmito finančními skupinami a také způsoby a motivy vzniku finančních konglomerátů.
