Abstract:

Faktory regionálního rozvoje jsou předmětem zájmu teoretiků i praktiků již velmi dlouhou dobu, první práce bychom našli už v devatenáctém století. Jde o téma, které řeší jak regionalisté, tak například ekonomové, geografové, sociologové a další. Je to dáno interdisciplinaritou, která je pro dané téma příznačné. Předložená práce v souladu se svým názvem analyzuje faktory regionálního rozvoje na příkladu dvou problémových regionů České republiky úrovně NUTS II, Severozápadu a Moravskoslezska. V první části práce nabízí základní přehled teorií regionálního rozvoje, které mj. vymezují různé rozvojové faktory, a samostatně některé další faktory. Na tomto základě pak koncipuje soubor faktorů a jejich ukazatelů, které jsou následně kvantifikovány a jejich hodnoty komparovány pro oba výše uvedené regiony. Jako faktory regionálního rozvoje jsou v této práci vymezeny regionální politika, demografický a geografický vývoj, trh práce, ekonomická výkonnost, infrastruktura, technologie, inovace, věda a výzkum a konečně kvalita životního prostředí. Podle těchto faktorů se jako lépe rozvíjející jeví region Moravskoslezsko, zejména díky skupině inovačních faktorů, další vývoj tohoto regionu lze tak pravděpodobně do budoucna očekávat lepší.

Abstract:

Factors of regional development have been of interest to theoreticians and practitioners since the nineteenth century. It is a topic that addresses both regionalism, economists, geographers, sociologists and others. It is due to interdisciplinarity, which is typical for a given topic. This diploma thesis in accordance with its name, analyzes the factors of regional development on the example of two troubled regions of the Czech Republic of NUTS II level: Northwest and Moravia-Silesia. The first part of the thesis provides an overview of basic theories of regional development, which among other things define the various development factors. On this basis, it has designed a set of factors and their indicators, which are then quantified. Their value is compared to the two aforementioned regions. The factors in this thesis are regional policy, geographic and demographic development, labor market, economic performance, infrastructure, technology, innovation, science and research, and finally the quality of the environment. According to these factors, Moravia-Silesia appears as better growing region, mainly due to the group of innovation factors, better further development of this region can probably be expected.
