Lehman Brothers bola 4. najväčšia investičná spoločnosť na svete, ktorá prežila množstvo udalostí, ako napr. obe svetové vojny, občianske nepokoje a pod. Žiaľ, finančnú krízu, ktorá vypukla v roku 2007 neprežila a v roku 2008 požiadala o ochranu pred veriteľmi.
