Diagnostics of performance preconditions in sport in the context of fuzzy theory

Abstract:

Optimální úroveň kondičních schopností sportovce je důležitým faktorem sportovního výkonu v tenisu. Diagnostika úrovně těchto schopností obvykle probíhá pomocí motorických testů a testových baterií. Výzkumný záměr rigorózní práce spočívá v prezentaci možností využití fuzzy přístupu při hodnocení úrovně výsledků tenistů v testové baterii TENDIAG1 a v komparaci hodnocení úrovně tenistů získané pomocí fuzzy přístupu a pravděpodobnostního přístupu. Výzkumný soubor byl tvořen tenistkami v letech 15–16 let (n = 174, výška: M ± SD = 169 ± 5,62 cm, hmotnost: M ± SD = 61 ± 6,25 kg), které se zúčastnily pravidelného testování Českého tenisového svaz v letech 2000–2018. Vyhodnocení výsledků proběhlo nejdříve pravděpodobnostním přístupem pomocí tříbodové škály a následně fuzzy přístupem s lineární funkcí, kvadratickou a Gaussovou funkcí na intervalu střední úrovně. Při komparaci celkových výsledků hodnocení pomocí pravděpodobnostního přístupu a fuzzy přístupu s lineární, resp. kvadratickou funkcí na střední úrovni, nebyly zjištěny věcně významné rozdíly. Alternativní hypotézu 1 resp. 2, která předpokládala významnosti rozdílů mezi výsledky hodnocení oběma přístupy, proto zamítáme. Při komparaci celkových výsledků hodnocení pomocí pravděpodobnostního přístupu a fuzzy přístupu s Gaussovou funkcí na střední úrovni, byly zjištěny věcně významné rozdíly. Alternativní hypotézu 3, která předpokládala významnosti rozdílů mezi výsledky hodnocení oběma přístupy, proto nezamítáme. V souvislosti s diagnostikou a výběrem tenisových talentů se fuzzy přístup ukazuje jako vhodnější než pravděpodobnostní přístup, jelikož umožňuje jemnější a přesnější rozlišení úrovně testovaných osob.

Abstract:

The optimum level of fitness of an athlete is an important factor in tennis performance. The level of these abilities is usually diagnosed using motor tests and test batteries. The research intention of the thesis is to present the possibilities of using the fuzzy approach in evaluating the level of tennis players' results in the TENDIAG1 test battery and to compare the evaluation of the level of tennis players obtained using the fuzzy approach and probabilistic approach. The research group consisted of tennis players aged 15–16 (n = 174, height: M ± SD = 169 ± 5.62 cm, weight: M ± SD = 61 ± 6.25 kg), who participated in regular testing of Czech tennis Association in 2000–2018. The results were evaluated by a probabilistic approach using a three-point scale and then by a fuzzy approach with linear function, quadratic and Gaussian function at the mid-level interval. When comparing the overall evaluation results using a probabilistic approach and a fuzzy approach with a linear, respectively. quadratic function at the mid-level, no materially significant differences were found. Alternative hypothesis 1 resp. 2, which assumed the significance of the differences between the evaluation results by both approaches, is therefore rejected. When comparing the overall evaluation results using the probabilistic approach and the fuzzy approach with the Gaussian function at the mid-level, significant differences were found. Therefore, we do not reject the alternative hypothesis 3, which assumed the significance of the differences between the evaluation results in both approaches. In the context of the diagnosis and selection of tennis talents, the fuzzy approach proves to be more appropriate than the probabilistic approach, as it allows for a finer and more accurate distinction of the level of test persons.
