The Health Literacy of Women Who Undegro a Gynecological Operation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje problematice zdravotní gramotnosti u žen podstupujících malý gynekologický výkon. Teoretická část popisuje základní informace o zdraví, zdravotní gramotnosti a malých gynekologických výkonech. V této části je také popsána role sestry či porodní asistentky při edukaci o zdraví a zdravotní gramotnosti. Ve výzkumné části byla zjišťována zdravotní gramotnost u 63 respondentek pomocí testu The Newest Vital SignTM (Powers et al., 2010; Weiss et al., 2005). Z šetření vyplývá, že 65% respondentek prokazuje adekvátní zdravotní gramotnost.

Abstract:

Thesis deals with the issue of health literacy in women undergoing minor gynecologic surgical procedures. The theoretical part describes basic information about health, health literacy and minor gynecological procedures. This part also describes the role of a nurse or midwife in health education and health literacy. In the research part, health literacy was determined in 63 respondents using The Newest Vital SignTM test (Powers et al., 2010; Weiss et al., 2005). The survey shows that 65% of respondents demonstrate adequate health literacy.
