The influence of robotic rehabilitation on walking for selected groups of persons with mental retardation

Abstract:

Diplomová práce ,,Vliv robotické rehabilitace na nácvik chůze u vybraných skupin osob s mentální retardací" se v teoretické části zabývá účinkem robotické terapie dětí s rozdílnou etiologií mentální retardace, na somatické, psychické a sociální aspekty. Zaměřuje se na charakteristiku, etiologii, klasifikaci, symptomatologii a diagnostiku mentálního postižení. Dále se věnuje typům chování dětí s hendikepem a orientuje se na vývoj a specifika osobnosti jedinců s postižením. Následovně se zaobírá analýzou, mechanismy a možnostmi vyšetřování chůze. Praktická část diplomové práce vystihuje zásadní faktory provedeného šetření. Charakterizuje provedenou analýzu a vyhodnocení statistickou metodu mnohonásobného porovnávání Fisherovým LSD testem. Výsledky prezentují vlivu tréninku v Lokomat systému na chůzi u vybraných skupin osob s mentální retardací. Hlavním předmětem výzkumu bude pozorování změn hodnot u vybraných somatických, psychických a sociálních hledisek u tří skupin osob s mentální retardací. V teoretické části zprostředkujeme souhrnný náhled na danou problematiku.

Abstract:

In its theoretical part, the diploma thesis entitled "The Impact of Robotic Rehabilitation upon Walking Training of a Select Group of Mentally Retarded Persons" engages on the effect of robotic therapy of children with a disparate mental retardation etiology, upon somatic, mental and social aspects. The thesis focuses on the characteristics, etiology, classification, symptomatology and diagnostics of the mental disorder. In addition, it deals with respective types of behaviour displayed by handicapped children, with an orientation upon the development and specifics of individuals suffering from impairment. Last but not least, issues such as the analysis, mecha-nisms and options available in examination of gait are addressed. The practical part of the thesis captures the key factors of the examination performed, characterizing both the analysis conducted and the evaluation of the multiple comparison statistical method through Fisher LSD test. The results present the effects of Lokomat system training upon gait of select groups of mentally retarded persons. The key subject of research will be the observation of changes of variables in case of selected somatic, mental and social points of reference, performed on three groups of persons with mental retardation. In the theoretical part, the a comprehensive perspective of the abovementioned problem area is provided.
