Abstract:

Tato práce zkoumá mediální reprezentaci vybraných nových náboženských hnutí (Svědkové Jehovovi, Scientologická církev, Hnutí Hare Krišna, Buddhismus Diamantové cesty) na stranách deníku MF DNES v letech 1996-2007. Sleduje způsob konstrukce obrazů těchto hnutí, ideologické vlivy, sociokulturní kontext a povahu výsledných reprezentací. Pomocí metody obsahové analýzy a interpretativního čtení zjišťuje, zda jsou sdělení konstruována z pohledu konsensuální ideologie, zda jsou hnutí reprezentována jako deviantní a společensky nebezpečná a zda způsob jejich reprezentace přispívá k jejich sociální exkluzi či inkluzi. Tvoří tak první ucelený výzkum mediální reprezentace nových náboženských hnutí v České republice.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis inquires a media representation of new religious movements (Jehova’s Witnesses, Church of Scientology, Hare Krishna Movement, Diamond Way Buddhism) in the czech daily paper MF DNES in years 1996-2007. It focuses on the way how the picture of these movements are constructed, the ideological influences, socio-cultural context and character of the final representations. Assist in technique of content analysis and qualitative interpretative reading the thesis answers the questions if movements are represented as deviant and dangerous and if the way of their media representations supports their social exclusion or inclusion. It is the first research on media representations of new religious movements in the Czech republic.
