Research-oriented robotics education using LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor

Abstract:

V této diplomové práci jsme se zaměřily na badatelsky orientovanou výuku robotiky s využitím LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor. Cílem bylo navrhnout a ověřit aktivity podporující badatelské myšlení žáků na 2. stupni základní školy v oblasti informatiky a robotiky dle platných kurikulárních dokumentů. Analýzou rámcového vzdělávacího programu jsme získali pochopení vzdělávacích požadavků a klíčových změn v oblasti výuky informatiky. Dále jsme pečlivě prozkoumali obsah školního vzdělávacího programu vybrané referenční školy, kde jsme provedli i testování navržených a vybraných aktivit. Při navrhování aktivit jsme dbali na zohlednění legislativního rámce, výukových potřeb, požadavků na aktivity a materiálních a technických podmínek referenční školy. Hlavním zaměřením bylo začlenění navržených aktivit do školního vzdělávacího programu a podpora badatelského myšlení a klíčových kompetencí u žáků. Věříme, že výsledky této práce poskytnou učitelům užitečný rámec pro implementaci badatelsky orientované výuky robotiky s využitím LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor. Jelikož navržené aktivity mohou být využity jakýmkoliv učitelem či školou, splňujícím stanovená kritéria, či po případných úpravách a přizpůsobení podmínkám vlastní školy.

Abstract:

In this thesis, we focused on research-oriented teaching of robotics using LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor. The aim was to design and validate activities that promote students' inquiry thinking at the lower secondary level in the field of computer science and robotics, in accordance with current curriculum documents. Through an analysis of the framework educational program, we gained an understanding of the educational requirements and key changes in computer science education. Additionally, we carefully examined the content of the educational program at a selected reference school, where we also conducted testing of the proposed and selected activities. When designing the activities, we took into account the legislative framework, educational needs, requirements for activities, and the material and technical conditions of the reference school. The focus was on integrating the proposed activities into the school's educational program and supporting students' inquiry thinking and key competencies. We believe that the results of this work will provide teachers with a useful framework for implementing research-oriented robotics teaching using LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor. Since the proposed activities can be utilized by any teacher or school that meets the specified criteria, or after potential modifications and adaptations to their own school conditions.
