International political development of Montenegro after the brakeup of Yugoslavia

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zkoumá mezinárodně politický vývoj Černé Hory v post-jugoslávské éře. Studie se zaměří na přechod země z konstituční republiky v rámci Jugoslávie k nezávislému státu a do problémů, kterým čelila při vytváření si vlastní cesty na mezinárodní scéně. Práce analyzuje vztahy Černé Hory s jejími sousedními zeměmi, Evropskou unií a NATO. Zkoumá faktory, které tyto interakce v průběhu let vytvářely. Zkoumá také úsilí vyrovnat se se západními zeměmi a její aspirace na členství v EU a NATO. Prostřednictvím popisné analýzy zahraničněpolitických rozhodnutí Černé Hory poskytuje práce cenné poznatky o mezinárodním a politickém vývoji země, výzvách a příležitostech, kterým v průběhu let čelila.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis examines the international political development of Montenegro in the post-Yugoslav era. The study delves into the country's transition from a constitutional republic within Yugoslavia to an independent state and the challenges it faced in forging its own path on the international stage. The work analyzes the relations of Montenegro with its neighboring countries, the European Union and NATO. It examines the factors that have shaped these interactions over the years. It also examines efforts to catch up with Western countries and its aspirations for EU and NATO membership. Through a descriptive analysis of Montenegro's foreign policy decisions, the thesis provides valuable insights into the country's international and political development and sheds light on the challenges and opportunities it has faced over the years.
