This Thesis deals with several applications of mass spectrometry (MS) in biomedicine focusing on the use of nanomaterials as a matrix and for sample preparation as a solid phase extraction of various biomolecules and also for calibration of Time-Of-Flight (TOF) or Quadrupole Ion Trap (QIT)-TOF mass analyzers.
