Memorability of scene and narrative schema in school children

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o tom, jak se rozvíjí narativní kompetence při vyprávění příběhu. Děti v rámci výzkumu měli za úkol si zapamatovat příběh, který slyšeli. Ovšem existovaly dvě verze příběhu: jedna verze byla scénická, kdy si děti celé vyprávění představovaly jako scénu na obraze a druhá verze byla narativní, kdy vyprávění děti chápaly jako příběh a představovaly si, jak jdou události po sobě. Děti měli na zapamatování a následné nahrávání jejich verze příběhu tři pokusy. Takto se dalo u dětí změřit, jak se zdokonalují ve svých narativních schopnostech při vyprávění příběhu.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals about narrative competence develops when telling a story. As part of the research, the children had the task of re-membering the story they had heard. However, there were two versi-ons of the story: one version was scenic, where the children imagined the entire story as a scene in a picture, and the other version was narrative, where the children understood the story as a story and imagined how the events followed each other. Children had three attempts to memorize and then record their version of the story. In this way, it was possible to measure the children's improvement in their narrative skills when telling a story.
