Abstract:

Tato absolventská práce se zabývá zkoumáním dopadů pandemie koronaviru v kontextu duševního zdraví a duševní pohody u aktivních seniorů, kteří žijí ve svém přirozeném prostředí. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak senioři vnímají koronavirovou pandemii v průběhu let 2020 - 2021 a zda může mít negativní dopady na psychickou pohodu a duševní zdraví seniorů. Podle zjištění totiž pandemie koronaviru a s ní související protikoronavirová opatření mohou přinášet jisté stresory, např. v podobě omezení mezilidských kontaktů nebo neustálou hrozbu nákazy. V jejich důsledku může docházet k psychologickým dopadům včetně depresí, posttraumatické stresové poruchy, výkyvům nálad, či pocitům osamělosti. V dané problematice je metodou kvalitativního výzkumu - formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, analyzováno emocionální prožívání, dopady pandemie koronaviru a vládních nařízení na duševní zdraví respondentů. V závěru jsou deklarovány hlavní výsledky výzkumu, včetně doporučení pro oborovou praxi.

Abstract:

This graduate thesis deals with the study of the effects of the coronavirus pandemic in the context of mental health and well-being in active seniors who live in their natural environment. The aim of the work is to find out how seniors perceive the coronavirus pandemic during the years 2020 - 2021 and whether it can have negative effects on the mental well-being and mental health of seniors. Indeed, the coronavirus pandemic and related anti-coronavirus measures may be subject to certain stressors, such as reduced interpersonal contact or a constant threat of infection. As a result, there may be psychological effects, including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, mood swings, or feelings of loneliness. The method of qualitative research - in the form of semi-structured interviews, analyzes the emotional experience, the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and government regulations on the mental health of respondents. In the end, the main results of the research are declared, including recommendations for field practice.
