In the present work we study spectrum of the star HD 74212, which was obtained from the project "The UVES Paranal Observatory Project". This project is part of European Southern Observatory program. V predloženej práci študujeme spektrum hviezdy HD 74212, ktoré bolo získané ako súčasť projektu "The UVES Paranal Observatory Project" v rámci programu Európskej južnej observátorie. V práci sa zaoberáme teóriou týkajúcou sa spektra, spekrálnych čiar a zároveň stručne históriou vedúcou k súčasným objavom.
