Assessment of the noise pollution in the city center of Cheb after changing local traffic conditions

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na problematiku hluku ze silniční dopravy v životním prostředí měst. Cílem práce je charakterizovat hlukovou situaci na Evropské ulici před a po výstavbě JV obchvatu města Chebu. V úvodní, teoretické části, se práce zabývá hlukem jako environmentálním stresorem v ŽP měst a dále přístupy k vytváření hlukových studií. Po teoretické části práce je rozebírán charakter zájmové oblasti, a následně je popisována metodika sběru dat a jejich další zpracování. Dále jsou pomocí hlukových map a výstupů ze statistické analýzy prezentovány výsledky výzkumu. Závěry výzkumu ukazují, že po výstavbě obchvatu došlo ke snížení intenzity dopravy, ale úroveň hluku se významně nezměnila.

Abstract:

This thesis if focused on issue of traffic noise in the urban environment. The goal of this paper is to characterize the noise situation in the area of Evropska Street before, and after realization of the south-east bypass of the Cheb. At the beginning, theoretical part of this thesis is dealing with noise, which represents significant environmental stressor. After that, there are described an approaches to creating the noise studies. The following part is focused on the characteristics of the area of interest and then is described the methodology of data acquisition and their processing. The results of this thesis are presented by the noise maps and outputs from the statistical analysis. The research shows, that after realization of the bypass, intensity of the traffic decreased, but the noise level did not change significantly.
