Abstract:

Diplomová práce Kulturní a osvětová činnost Tělocvičné jednoty Sokol Ivančice v letech 1887-1938 se zabývá tematikou sokolského hnutí a jeho činností. Záměrně je ale opomenuto tradiční pojetí Sokola jako tělocvičného spolku a pozornost je soustředěna na kulturní a osvětové aktivity, kterým byla postupně věnována stejná pozornost jako tělesným cvičením. Cílem zvoleného přístupu je snaha dokázat, že sokolské hnutí nebylo „pouze“ tělovýchovným spolkem a že po celou dobu svojí existence svými aktivitami toto pojetí překračovalo. Široké spektrum kulturního a osvětového působení je představeno na konkrétní sokolské jednotě – za předmět bádání byla vybrána Tělocvičná jednota Sokol Ivančice, jelikož archivní materiály tohoto spolku svojí obsáhlostí naznačují, o jak agilní spolek se jednalo.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis Cultural and educational activities of the Sokol association Ivančice in the years 1887-1938 deals with the theme of Sokol movement and its activities. But deliberately is omitted the traditional concept of Sokol as a gymnastics club and attention is focused on the cultural and educational activities, which was gradually given the same attention as physical exercise. Intention of the chosen approach is effort to prove that the Sokol movement wasn´t "only" physical-education association and that throughout its existence, its activities go beyond this concept. A wide spectrum of cultural and educational impact is presented on a particular Sokol association – as the object of research was chosen Sokol association Ivančice, because archival materials of the association for their comprehensiveness suggest about how agile club was.
