Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na vývoj internetové populace České republiky od roku 2005 až po současnost. V populaci dochází k poklesu porodnosti, snižování počtu sňatků a zvyšování naděje na dožití. Internetová populace naopak neustále narůstá a intenzita používání internetu se zvyšuje. Práce porovnává internetovou populaci s reálnou populací v základních demografických znacích jako je věk, pohlaví, vzdělání anebo regionální rozložení. Pomocí Box-Jenkisovy metodologie předpovídá blízký vývoj velikosti internetové populace mužů a žen. V současné době jsou více na internetu zastoupeni muži, ale žen v průběhu let stále přibývá a lze předpokládat, že muže v blízké době i překonají.

Abstract:

This paper describes the development of the Internet population in the Czech Republic since 2005 until now. Birth rate and the number of marriages are decreasing together with rising life expectancy. The Internet population and the Web usage's intensity are continuously growing. Basic demographic characteristics of the actual and Internet population such as age, sex, education or regional distribution are compared. Near future development of the Internet population regarding men and women is predicted using the Box-Jenkins methodology. Currently men tend to dominate, but women are catching up and the situation may well reverse.
