Origins of Rap Music in California
Abstract:
Tématem bakalářské práce je popis počátků rapové hudby v Kalifornii, konkrétně jejího subžánru gangsta rap, jeho protagonistů a klíčových událostí v rámci žánru. Dále se práce zabývá vlivem tehdejší tvorby na vývoj hudebního průmyslu a jeho hudební formu. Nakonec pojednává o komparaci tehdejší umělecké rapové sféry s tou dnešní a dopadem na ni.
Abstract:
The theme of this bachelor thesis is a description of the beginnings of rap music in California, specifically its sub-genre of Gangsta rap, its protagonists and key events within the genre. Furthermore, the work deals with the influence of the then music on the development of the music industry and its musical form in nowadays.
