Abstrakt Cílem této bakalářské práce je identifikovat a analyzovat jazykové prvky jazzu v knize Na cestě od Jacka Kerouaca. Jako součást teorie jsou presentovány kapitoly popisující historii jazzu, zejména pak bebop a jeho vliv na beatovou generaci. Abstract The aim of this paper is to analyze the influence of jazz in On the Road by Jack Kerouac. The main focus is on identifying jazz as a theme and its effect on characters' lives and, in addition, recognizing whether formal jazz rules were applied in the novel.
