Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na srovnání přístupu dvou současných umělců ke kontaktu těla s objektem. Jedním z nich je francouzský cirkusový umělec Camille Boitel, druhá je vizuální umělkyně Pavla Sceranková. Hlavní částí práce je srovnání tvorby Scerankové a Boitela. Srovnání se soustřeďuje především na materiály, které umělci používají, na možnosti kontaktu mezi divákem a objektem a na to, jakým způsobem objekt ovlivňuje pohyb lidského těla. Práce rovněž stručně shrnuje hlavní momenty vývoje a využití objektů v cirkuse a ve výtvarném performanci 20. století, a také prolínání a setkávání těchto dvou disciplín.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the comparison of the approach of two contemporary artists to the contact of the body with the object. One of them is the French circus artist Camille Boitel, the other is the visual artist Pavla Sceranková. The main part of the thesis is a comparison of Sceranková and Boitel's work. The comparison focuses mainly on the materials the artists use, the possibilities of contact between the viewer and the object, and the way the object affects the movement of the human body. The thesis also briefly summarizes the main moments of the development and use of objects in circus and 20th century visual art performance, as well as the intersection and meeting of the two disciplines.
